F-22 Book just released

Welcome to Glenn Hoover's Model Build Instructions

I do the prep work for you...

                Reorganize the model kit instructions

                 Combine aftermarket part instructions

                        ...for a seamless single checklist

Current List of Books (alphabetical)

After many requests, the next book will be Kitty Hawk's (1/32) OV-10D Bronco. Estimated completion mid-August. As of 6/8...made great progress. The 1st draft is complete. Now I build the model to proof the instructions

The B1B Lancer 1/48 Scale Bomber from Revell is after the Bronco

The following books have professional reviews at Large Scale Planes and/or Detail & Scale

OS2U Kingfisher (LSP)

OS2U Kingfisher (D&S)

F35B Lightning II

F-14A Tomcat

F-16C Fighting Falcon

Special thanks to ODG Studios. They made a special pour of their standard base for me using clear resin. I painted the bottom dark blue and dry brushed some white and green on the waves. I painted the bottom and second row of ropes brown and added a small gold rope (not part of ODG's base).  I mounted my  Arado AR196B and won a gold medal at a recent local IPMS contest. This base can accommodate any 1/32 scale single float plane (OS2U Kingfisher, Nakajima A6M2-N etc.) Contact Dan at models@odgstudios.com for more info about his bases

As most experienced modelers know, if you follow the model’s instruction verbatim, you risk damaging the model. For example, the instructions may call for adding a small, fragile antenna in the first or second step. The chance of you damaging the antenna as you assemble the rest of the model is assured. My instructions take this into account. I reorder the steps to minimize handling damage. Another nice feature is that I incorporate any third party add-on components like Eduard’s photo etch into my instructions. I highlight the steps for the basic model verses those for the PE. The steps include graphics cut from the model’s instructions. I have built the model following these steps and included quality photos of the build. In the end, the modeler will have a near perfect model. NOTE: THE ACTUAL MODEL KIT IS SOLD SEPARATELY THROUGH YOUR FAVORITE STORE
